Service Caster metal socket for wood designed to fit 5/16 inch diameter by 1-1/2 inch long Series #01, #02, #03 and #05 grip neck stem casters.
This socket installs into a 3/8 inch diameter by 1-5/8 inch deep pilot hole and is driven into place, where sharp retaining teeth secure it firmly into the wood. Once installed, the caster stem is pressed into the socket, and the expandable tail section grips the stem to help prevent loosening or pull out during use. Ideal for wooden furniture, chair legs, carts, and other wood based applications.
Please note that these sockets are not designed for frequent removal. When replacing a caster, the socket insert is typically replaced at the same time to ensure proper retention and performance.
